About "Orange Rose"

This was an experimental piece influenced by the Impressionists. I wanted to play with colour and contrast, layout and impasto application of paint. This artwork makes a room come alive and is one of my most popular paintings at the time. It influenced my style of painting, and is the first of many paintings that would be in the same look and feel.
