About "Red Earth"

The tree in this painting evolved of its own accord. I originally meant this to be a painting of group of women dancing in celebration. While I was painting the earth, a tree emerged. So I left it just like that for all to see. This is one of my favourite ways of paintings, just letting things be.

Lara Bailey Causton, sometimes I sign as "Beetle"
I am extremely passionate about being creative and cannot leave anything alone until I find it pleasing to my eye. The beauty of the end product (according to me of course) is what drives me. I started painting in 2006 and just have not been able to put a paintbrush down since. I love painting. My dreams seem to formulate themselves into a painting and will bother me until they are down on canvas. A lot of my paintings depict "a moment in time", whereby the viewer can take the story of the painting wherever they would like to go. I like my style to be free and unpretentious, and textures just blow me away! I am hoping that my paintings blow you away as well!
