The lonely yellow boat tugs eagerly at its moorings wanting to explore the water, the far bank, the horizon. Securely tethered the boat waits for the rower to board, master and servant, dependent on each other but never independent of each other.

I'm inspired by the play of light - how it reveals emotion in landscapes, figures, and fleeting moments. My work blends realism with symbolism, using layered brushwork, glazes, and mark-making to explore themes of solitude, transformation, and connection. I draw from history, mythology, and personal experience to create visual narratives that resonate across time and culture.
