About "Seeing Past Colour"

this was my own personal response to the recent rascist acts and xenophobia attacks in our country. i just wonder if we could literally see life from another race's perspective would it cause a paradigm shift.so i combined the eye of a british woman to that of an african.
i hope this painting makes you feel something positive but it in no way is intended to be seen as political and is not meant to be offensive in any way.

About Nabeelah

When speaking of hidden talents i never thought i would be able to say that art was one of them.Especially since im the third in my family to major in accounting. Growing up in strict muslim community in Cape Town the term "artist" was very rarely used and of course never to describe a suitable career path.

Now as a teenager i can proudly boast that i use both the left and the right side of my brain.An accountant by profession and a artist by nature

Whenever i have free time i sketch and paint,with whatever mediums i can find, honestly i would even paint with turmeric if i knew how!I havent perfected my own personal style yet.For the moment whatever interests me has to be translated onto canvas.My portrayals tend to be more honest and personal than accurate.
