About Pam

Pam is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Pam Anderson started art lessons without ever having drawn or painted a picture. On her first day, when asked to draw something, she started cautiously. Pink with the deepest embarrassment of her entire nine year old life, she produced the generic cat favoured by most three-year-olds.

Her teacher kindly told her that she could start with basket weaving...

But one rainy day, at the end of the first term, and alone in the classroom, she suddenly got it! She stood back and looked at her painting of a mallard duck, complete with paint dripping off the edge of the paper. And she KNEW she could paint!

Pam never looked back. She moved from those humble beginnings to receiving A+ for art throughout school - winning the Art Cup in her final year. Then she happily drew, sketched, sculpted, etched and painted for three years at the Michaelis School of Art.

Obtaining her Fine Art Diploma at the University of Cape Town, she continued to sketch and paint portraits.

After many years of wildlife and portrait exhibitions, and teaching drawing and painting at the Pam Anderson School of Drawing, Pam is currently teaching landscape sketching and painting.
