Marion Cross

Marion is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Colour,rhythm,form,the landscape which surrounds us,the glow in the early morning,the heat in mid January,the wind as it whips over the mountain, these are but some of the moments which inspire my work. Painting 'en plein air' or in the studio, I take my reference from nature. Passionate about painting, I graduated from UNISA with a BAFA and continued at Wits to do a postgraduate diploma in painting which I passed with a distinction. Since then I have participated in many group exhibitions, as well as having a solo exhibition at the AVA in Cape Town and the GC gallery. Being a member of SASA, I attained the award 'Best Mixed Media' in 2008 as well as in 2009. My work has found homes all over the world.
