Armand is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Like everyone else, my past is what brought me here - today. Without those experiences I would not be this person that I am.
Completing my studies in medicine afforded me cognisance of human anatomy; to manifest the human form as emotion.

‘Matter without form is only a potentiality’ (Aristotle)
The liberal manipulation of form in the creation of my self-portraits substantiates the potential emotional experience to the beholder.

Each bronze is single edition, cast directly from the original wax sculpture. The Latin names are open for interpretation.
