About Ita

I'm painting full time after a major brain operation and loving the opportunity God gave me to live life fully with happiness and fulfillment.
I also love to paint portraits on commission when a good photo can be e mailed to me.
Is it because you have a near death experience, that you can clearly see and observe for the first time?I am so greatful to have the opportunity to paint again after nearly 34 years.I have studied portrait painting under Johanna Wassenaar while still at University but whilst teaching I never found time to paint.I have found my nemesis, my special little place in the sun with my oils and am so filled with joy to create what I see around me.I love painting portraits and to really capture the soul in their expressions.It is also so rewarding to capture nature around me in my seascapes and landscapes.
Art has given me the chance to live again!
