About Marlise

Marlise is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I completed my law degree at the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg but the artist in me overpowered the lawyer, since then I have been painting full time for several years. I've worked in the UK and Ireland for several years and only recently returned to sunny South Africa.
My colourfull landscapes are intended to transport the viewer to a magical place, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where the imagination is aroused and the senses are fondled. My first requirement is that my art should enrich and touch the viewer on a personal level.

3 solo exhibitions in South Africa and partaken in several group exhibitions. My work is shown at the Green Gallery in Dublin as well as the Gallery of Hanging Fruits in Suffolk, England.
