In contrast to the peace and tranquility of her surroundings, internationally renowned artist Elga Rabe's work is exciting and unique. her Her indepth portrayals of life and african people have become much sought after acquisitions for discerning collectors all over the world.
Growing up on a farm in Mpumalanga, Elga developed her deep love and fascination for the cultural wealth and beauty of the people of Africa as well as the continents wildlife. as a farmers wife and mother of four, her talent deepened and expanded over the years as her innate understanding of love for the subjects she paints.
Elga's commitment has resulted in her being recognized as an icon in African art with her realistic wildlife scene and emotional portrayals of tribal life. in 2005 her exhibition or 22 oils titled: "Tribute to the Tribeswoman of Africa" was a runaway success. this is a motherhood, their beauty and above all their womanliness.
