Sonia is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Sonia Sawyer: I am a wildlife enthusiast, and self-taught artist, born and raised in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It was from a tender age, that I discovered the pleasure of putting pencil to paper, only later in life, did I experiment with colour. My chosen medium being that of oils on canvas. I much prefer working with a thick 'impasto', as this I feel, brings my images closer to reality. My subjects usually wildlife, with the occasional other. Each and every artwork (in it's 'most' natural form ) is a celebration of life itself !
