About Shaheen

I was raised, the son of an artist, surrounded by art and art materials. Despite this I pursued a career in Information Technology. I received a Bsc. Computer Science degree from UCT in 1994. I enjoyed 7 years in the IT environment, 3 of which I spent in the Netherlands. It was here that I was inspired to follow my true passion. I enjoy personal expression in the painting form. My work ranges from calligraphic to abstract. I have participated in cultural and community based exhibitions from Cape Town to Johannesburg. My work is primarily on exhibition at SONI ART STUDIO. I have sold-paintings locally and abroad. My ideas/concepts are contemporary. My main goal is to inspire and motivate my audience.
