About Malcolm

Malcolm Turner

Malcolm is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Malcolm was born in England but came to South Africa when he was 11 years old. He has traveled extensively throughout the world where he has developed an excellent eye for great scenes and portraits. He has been painting for over 20 years and has an international clientele and has received commissions from people in Australia, the UK, Scandinavia and America.

In 2009 he moved to Somerset West in the Cape where he successfully ran art classes for several students over a period of a year. He is currently displaying and selling his work at Oude Libertas in Stellenbosch.

For Malcolm art is all about portraying peoople, landscapes, seascapes, boats, underwater scenes, places of interest. and on the odd occasion, as the child in him comes to the surface, a collection of paintings like his whale cartoons, that emerge in all their glory. And as Malcolm expressed himself .... "It is not so much about the location or the subject, but how it emerges as a creation that stands on its own merit as a thing of beauty and design

Important update ..... As of May 2011, Malcolm has been approved by the South African Arts Diary which is a very prestigous diary that comes out every year in November, in which only selected artists can display their artworks. It is distributed in all the prominent bookshops, like Exclusive Books and Wordsworth.
