About Sue

Sue Tatham

Sue is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

This experienced artist has achieved significant artistic recognition, notably graduation with distinctions, selection for the prestigious Cape Town Triennial, residency in Paris, Atelier, in Cité Internationale des Arts, and award winner of the New Signatures Award, the South African Association of Visual Art. Landscapes, portraits and figures are her speciality. Her work is contemporary and versatile, and ranges from formal realism through to expressionism and abstraction. Women and feminine figures form a central recurrant theme, at times inspired by African and European mythology, natural geometry and her favourite teacher, nature. As an experienced lecturer who challenges individuality and creativity, she loves teaching art and design. She manages her own studio, workshops and art school; and has trained and inspired many who have gone on to become great talents of note.
