About "Storm Clouds"

In order to give this landscape impact I painted it with impasto. The brush strokes are thick to support the idea of wind whipping across the long grass. The sky is filled with stormy clouds and rain is about come lashing down. The landscape is fairly bare with 2 trees in the distance. The stormy sky has some beautiful colours in it ranging from white to grays, various shades of blue and purples and dark grape colours. The dark colours are intense and threatening.
