About "Tenacious Spirit"

I created this drawing in honor of a young lady, called Michaela de Prince. Michaela is a young woman, who despite experiencing horrific circumstances at a young age - pursued her dream of becoming a ballerina. Today, she is probably among the world's well-known ballerinas.

I believe that her spirit of tenacity is an excellent quality that all humans should pursue. I believe her story should set a sample for all, that we can overcome any mountain or storm - so long as we work hard and focus our mind and thoughts.

About Liesel

I am a Fine Artist, based in Free State, South Africa. I specialize in realistic drawings and paintings of People, with a subtle Christian Narrative. My preferred mediums are Graphite Pencils, Soft Pastels, and Oil Paint. I work mostly from photographs, but love to do life studies when I get the opportunity.

My personal work deals with self-believe, and identity, especially regarding my daily battle as a Christian to realign myself to God's word. It is also about God's values in contrast to the World's.

I have art collectors all over South Africa, as well as overseas. In addition, I have created a wide variety of custom-made portrait commissions for customers, working mainly from photographs.
