My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature wherever I go. I am an avid photographer, so my references come from my own photographs. As I travel around South Africa I photograph many different themes, but animals and scenic themes are my favourite. I am a guide in the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve and this involves photography and data capturing which has made me very aware of details in the world around me. I draw and paint mainly for pleasure, however those who I have completed a commission for also derive pleasure from my work. My work is realistic and this presents the challenge to me.
