About "The Secret Place"
So I wrote a little poem to explain what emotion/feeling is behind this piece and hope this helps whoever needed the words.
"The Secret Place
There is a place where the world can't harm me
Where peace transcends above my fears
At the foot of the throne of your goodness
On the lap of my love who wants to dry my tears
My love don't want my words, only my heart
Because with my heart,
he can undo the dark paint over my light
May I never live one day without sneaking off to our secret place
Where you always receive me with open arms and a joyful face
May my ears listen to hear your wise words
May my eyes be open to see your wounds
Here I am, My Love
Form me, make me
So that my faith grow in your
peaceful waters and my eyes always seek out your light"

About Liesel
I am a Fine Artist, based in Free State, South Africa. I specialize in realistic drawings and paintings of People, with a subtle Christian Narrative. My preferred mediums are Graphite Pencils, Soft Pastels, and Oil Paint. I work mostly from photographs, but love to do life studies when I get the opportunity.
My personal work deals with self-believe, and identity, especially regarding my daily battle as a Christian to realign myself to God's word. It is also about God's values in contrast to the World's.
I have art collectors all over South Africa, as well as overseas. In addition, I have created a wide variety of custom-made portrait commissions for customers, working mainly from photographs.
