About "Van Gogh Cafe Terrace Reproduction"
My name is Annina De Kock.
I studied Fine Arts at Stellenbosch University, and did a post graduate diploma in Museology.
I am fortunate enough to have been tutored by Paul Emsley. Hennie Niemann inspired me by his painting skills and work ethics while we were living in Onrust River Hermanus. Marjorie Wallace and Audry Fourie gave me confidence for which I am very grateful.
By reproducing the masters we honor them and spread the joy of their ability and insight to others around the world. I strive to master their techniques with integrity to the best of my abilities and the quality of materials I use.
I grew up in the Western Cape (Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Hermanus) and reside in Uvongo Kwazulu Natal South Coast South Africa at the moment.
Vincent Van Gogh is my art idol and favorite master at the moment.
I am doing Van Goch reproductions: but NOT exact copy's.
I want to portray the spirit of the artist and his works.
I want the person looking at the painting to feel what Van Goch would have wanted to say to them through his art.
I would love to enable people to hang an original Van Goch reproduction on their wall.
I use Artist Quality Windsor and Newton Oil Paint AA permanence (very durable lightfast and long lasting ) and non toxic; on 3 x Gesso primed stretched canvass.
I also do my own oil paintings and Pencil on paper drawings of various subjects.
