Life goes on although it seems as if it could rain any moment,they have to rely on the little sun and the wind to dry their washing. The mother goes about platting the girl's hair while the sun still shines. What a lesson.

About Doreen

I am an inhabitant of Melkbosstrand, South Africa for the past 43 years.

It was a childhood dream of mine to become an artist and after I retired, I started to attend art classes with Mare Bruwer, a well-known artist and lecturer. She is known for her contribution to establish new artists.

It gives me so much pleasure when a clean canvas turns into a beautiful picture.

My love for nature is also a factor in my paintings.

I had the privilege of traveling to Europe where I photographed and captured some of those beautiful sceneries on canvas.

I hope that my paintings will also bring joy to your home.

We also partake in group exhibitions from time to time. The medium I mainly use is acrylic paint.
