Reference Don’t bother About "Don't Bother" This picture was an interesting project to work with as this also was part of my Grade 12 projects. I got the picture of the woman with the pillar on the internet and added the crow for a bit of contrast of scenery. The woman not being bothered by the attack of the crow represents that you should not be scared of anything. This is just a nice piece to look at. I enjoyed working with it as this was my first oil painting and the colour playing in the background between the blue and white was interesting, especially in making the ice look like ice and the sky being apart from that. |

I went to school at Hertzog High in Witbank, where I had art as an extra subject. I had no training as I had to do my pieces on my own, I was given a topic and had to do it. I tried my best to impress my teacher as there was a lot of talent in our group. I do not believe in going for classes or training in art, as I believe that the trainer’s technique will reflect in yours and then it’s not your own work anymore. My work is purely my own, my own techniques and my own experience which has increased the quality of my work.
