About "Don't Fence Me In"

I'd love women and children to live in freedom, without fear of abuse or hunger. We seem to live in a world where we need to lock ourselves and our possessions up, live up to standards set by others, be PC and be dictated to or demanded from at every turn. We are swamped with info on all sides about issues both trivial and vital. I sometimes want to shout out: DON[0x1]T FENCE ME IN!

About Sue

I love expressing my reaction to what I see around me in bold loose brushstrokes and vibrant colours, sometimes abstract, sometimes not! My themes and the way I express them vary widely. I used to work mainly in oils, but also use photography and collage to express ideas. The latest series of work uses encaustic and cyanotype. The melted wax brings a wonderful dimension of transparency and texture to the work.
