About "Hoepoe Bird" I had a picture of a hoepoe bird curio which I wanted to include in a larger painting as a symbol of Africa, large painting is still a work in progress but in the meantime I wanted to paint this little curio's portrait and include some African style design elements for decorative effect. |

There is sometimes a quirky sense of humour to my work, I like creating scenarios you would not see in real life that let you wonder about them.
