About "Mama Africa" This freestanding sculpture represents the birth of our new nation as well as the delicate balance between nature and mankind. The arms are extended back in the throws of birth and the feet (representing roots) are anchored in the earth, thereby signifying our roots in the African continent. The chest is exposed, which gives a glimpse of the decay of nature and emphasizes the fact that care should be taken to preserve our Africa for children yet unborn. Unique (one only.)
