About "Maple Leaf"

I found the reference photo by Melanie Kern-Favilla on the Facebook group "Free Reference Photos for Artists". It was just so evocative, I had to paint it! My son had gifted me with a black canvas, which was perfect for it.

About Susan Traut

I love anything related to nature; something that is quiet, harmonious and beautiful. Sometimes I need to break out of the mould, though, and I create a piece that is thought-provoking. I prefer not to explain the thought, as I feel that each person should make up his own mind. If it makes people think, that is good enough for me.
