About "Mea Culpa"

Holding onto hope, why does life need to be such a slippery slope? Can you feel and not just see him nearing the end of his rope? Such is his day clearly filled with nothing but dismay. No he did not beg on this cold day down here in May, I now wonder who can really say if not one day...I will not sit on this corner alone to fight my thoughts in strife when I give into this reality many consider to be the only real life; is his wounds still benign? this could be for me a sign...I have regret that I fell in love with unkindness, so infatuated and blinded being smitten - can I also rewrite was has already been written? Stop I must, proceed no further unless I regain compassion and respect for another even if he is not my brother...

About Nico

Currently residing in Krugersdorp, South Africa - born March 10, 1977 and as of yet not left the shores of Africa. I go through most days either with a like or dislike for many things that happen on the continent but I can never say that Africa isn't a very fascinating and unique place to live in.

I capture life as it happens at that particular moment when it will be most memorable and tell a story even if it seems none is to be had - creating something out of nothing in life, both a challenge and equally intriguing to myself seeing what I photographed when I sometimes have only split second to react without the comforts and repeatability of in-studio work.
