About Bert

Born 1927 - 2013
Bert Lewington began his career at the Durban School of art. During his career he has been an illustrator, graphic designer and was studio manager at a leading Johannesburg adverting agency for several years.

His art concentrates mainly on depicting wildlife and the bushveld, an expression of his love of animals and indigenous flora. He visits game parks every year, including Etosha Game Park in Namibia to collect material for his works.

Bert paints mainly in watercolor, but has also explored the medium of acrylic and oils. He has had many successful wildlife exhibitions where his work had been enthusiastically received. His work now hangs in coporate collection both in South Africa and Abroad.
