About "Rough Seas" The elements I tried to capture with this image are those of hardship and suffering, the complexities of everyday life and how slowly this eats away at those who struggle to make ends meet. This I found to be particularly true in the case of my subject, the fisherman. His somewhat wrinkled face, sallow skin and an almost vacant look in his eyes were attributes I wanted to capture. |
