About Renee

Renee Calitz

Ren[0xC3A9]e Calitz (n[0xC3A9]e Bestbier) prefers depicting different aspects of the creation, as can be seen in her paintings of nature, birds, animals (especially cats!) as well as light and changing atmospheric and weather conditions, showing sensitive drawing and subtle nuances of colour.

Another one of her interests is visually representing the Word of God, as shown in her ever-unfinished series called, [0x1]The Visual Word[0x1].
Renee works in several media, including acrylic, watercolours, oils, silk paint on silk, pastels, pencil, pen and markers.
