About "Tribute to Irma Stern 2"

Irma Stern's Prostitutes in Spain haunted me after I saw it for the first time. I tried to express the same sense of loneliness, desperation yet acceptance of life in this painting of a 'working girl'. The paint was smeared on almost voilently with thick pieces of paint giving it texture
