About "Woodland Walk"

How often we dream of walking in a cool clear forest, in our own space of peace and solitude. To meditate and feel alive surrounded by nature. Painting this scene brought these feelings of peace and self awareness to me. One of my favourites paintings.

About Pamela

Johannesburg artist Pamela paints the vast skies and flora of Southern Africa that shaped her childhood. Self-taught with formal training and art taught with distinction, she now runs two thriving studios teaching with passion.

Her macro realistic floras - hydrangeas where petals cluster in light seem to hold their fragrance. She also creates mixed media abstracts and skyscapes where colour and light swirl in movement.

Driven by soul and the elusive quality of light, each work invites you to feel connected, to be part of the painting, not wanting to let it go.
