About "Zebra Mystery"
I did a trip into Botswana and Namibia and captured this photograph where Zebras were running from something. The Zebra is such an elegant elegant and beautiful creature that the post-minimalistic approach suited the scene. I tried to capture the dimensions of the event through the use of the following principles in the painting technique: speed, nervousness, uncertainty, complete though incomplete.
Antons painting interest started at school but sports, woman and cars got the best of him. One of his paintings at school won an International Award in Australia. He revisited his painting passion again from 2006 onwards, is self taught and does not specialise in a specific style. His paintings is a reflection of what he experience when encountering different views of life and he only paints what he has experienced. Painting has become more than a hobby and now boarders on an obsession. Maybe this is his way of catching up on lost time[0x1][0x1]or trying to tell his story through pictures rather than words.
