FreeMe is an organisation involved in the care, rehabilitation and release back into the wild of any injured mammal or bird. This organisation relies heavily on public funding and donations. The Baobab will be used in a Raffle.

Inspiration for this piece:

Blistering heat and the baobab tree looks on silently, near the Limpopo River. The screech of cicadas in the heat of noonday. The medicine tree of the lowveld - the' tree which God planted upside down '- Shangaan tale.
