About "Birthday Bouquet"

This piece was inspired by a gift of florals by a friend for my birthday. I just had to recreate it on canvas.

About Lientjie

I am inspired by the beauty that life has to offer all around me on a daily basis. The gift of a spiritual being having a human experience, life it elf and our beautiful planet Gaia. Inspiration to me is everywhere be it nature, music, authentic people and my kitty Leeloo, food, fabrics, patterns and what a feast the list goes on.

It is my intention to reach my full potential in this life time by moving through limitations created by society and a system that is designed to keep humanity boxed up.
Thinking and living outside the box is my "motto" in order to come to a space of full expansion, balance and deep inner peace. The Creator made us to be brilliant and we are so much more underneath all the layers. Spirituality is where I find my zest for life and the courage to work through my shadow self finding even a brighter version of self.

I am a self taught artist who grew up in the Karoo with warmth, wide open raw spaces and no interference of city life.

I have sold over 600 works local and abroad since I started painting in 2007. As I transition along my journey, my style has been changing, brush stokes become looser and less structured. At present I am finding my new version of self on the canvas. My art just happens. I get inspired, start with an idea and creating just flows. Out of the mind and let the hands create, no analyzing is my intention.

I absolutely love creating and playing around with color on canvas, mosaics and fabrics. Enjoy my art, its from the heart :)
