About Johann

My paintings depict open spaces that are empty but at the same time filled with life. A painter is an observer of social and natural phenomena, but as an observer you realise that what you capture on canvas acts much like a mirror, and "things talk back". These works document my process of learning to listen and hopefully to understand more.
