About "Misty Road (Hogsback)"
First Painting in my New RSA Square Series. Based on one of my old photographs of Hogsback, Eastern Cape.
Painting has quite personal meaning to me as it is almost the exact spot - where my husband asked my father for permission to marry me in 2010. It was just one of those perfect days which we spent in a house with a fire cracking, reading a book an eating Trinchado, while it rained most of the day. I also have a very big love for Hogsback, most probably one of my most favorite destinations in South Africa

I am a Fine Artist, based in Free State, South Africa. I specialize in realistic drawings and paintings of People, with a subtle Christian Narrative. My preferred mediums are Graphite Pencils, Soft Pastels, and Oil Paint. I work mostly from photographs, but love to do life studies when I get the opportunity.
My personal work deals with self-believe, and identity, especially regarding my daily battle as a Christian to realign myself to God's word. It is also about God's values in contrast to the World's.
I have art collectors all over South Africa, as well as overseas. In addition, I have created a wide variety of custom-made portrait commissions for customers, working mainly from photographs.
