About "Cape Of Storms" A friend said that this work would look good in a fishing trawler. Right on! It's about the Cape. The seas hereabouts, the storms, the fires that plunder our mountain, wrecks past and present, the people, both the Bergies and the long-since vanished Khoisan and more besides. |

I must admit that of late I am drawn to collages - found objects combined, often in a paradoxical way with a satirical edge. A few galleries this side of the Atlantic are partial to my sense of irony - so be it, and as a consequence I am writing satirical pieces including plays, snippets, and so on. What inspires me? Nature, the awesome beauty and complex it yof the natural world in contrast to the pitiless stupidity and arrogance of our species. What does an Artist say when confronted with the real issues of today?
