About Jeannette
Jeannette is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa. "Art Washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." A quote by Picasso - and so true. I was always interested in art but grew up in an era when it was not considered a lucrative career nor were there many avenues open on leaving school. Bringing up my family also took precedence but having travelled quite a bit, I found my motivation to capture nature on canvas became all consuming. Being passionate about animals and concerned with Man's abuse of our world, I try and convey my conservation message through my work. My flower paintings are to remind people that Nature is Beautiful. Mainly self-taught but I did spend some years with Gail Baxter, and have attended many workshops. Price Range US$87-869 Exhibitions Won the North Coast Art Group Best Painting Award in 2003 as well as Highly commended and Merits on other occasions. Has exhibited at all the North Coast Art Group exhibitions, artGivers, artSpace, Monart Gallery, KZNSA, Green Gallery and MIELE Gallery of Fine Living.
