About Justine

Justine is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Justine van de Weg has been doing art since the age of 4. Her parents are both commercial, fine and graphic artists. She took private classes from Laura Wenman who opened up a private art college and came up with solutions about why people battle understanding art and how to learn the basic principles in drawing and then progress to painting.

The artist went into business with Laura in South Africa and was trained for 7 years to teach Laura's art course : drawing, oil painting and pastels. The art college is still currently running in South Africa in Cape Town of extended courses depicting the old Master's courses from triangulation, vinette, anatomy to photography, architechture,landscaping, air brush and interior desgin which are a few to mention. Justine then grabbed an opportunity, and studied the course from the French academy in France (which Reyno was teaching in SA).She then worked closely with a children's college and worked with downsyndrome and autistic children involving art therapy and is now in London working on creative projects involving children from differnt backgrounds combining art therapy and working with the communities. She also goes into primary and first and middle schools and does art therapy and focuses on their home life. She will also be teaching adults on painting days in the summer, aswell as grow and exhibit more in London.
