About Dawn

Dawn is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I first of all just love drawing. Give me a pencil and a piece of paper and I am happy. Working in my studio, becoming totally absorbed in the moment, lost in colours, shapes, and beautiful music – I can ask for no more. I also paint with a group of friends, and when we are all engrossed in our individual work and the room is quiet and filled with this really special aura of creativity – to me this is what makes it all worth while.
I have done numerous portrait commissions, in pastels, charcoal, oils and now mainly in acrylics.
From 2005 I have been commissioned by Northern Cricket Union to do portraits of their players who are selected for the National team, as well as of the Past Presidents of the Union.
