Marilise Lombard have a passion for sunny bright colours and music and see it as a way to express feelings of joy and happiness in my paintings - we all want to live, to love and to laugh. Living in the countryside is a wonderful privilege - to see people go to church on a donkey cart, or a tractor with a wagon full of people playing guitar and singing. The way people live and the way they are - in spite of difficult circumstances. Very little is needed to make a happy life and we must hold life in both hands. Art is a passion and a gift from God and I thank Him everyday for it.
