About Carien

With my background in Interior Design and currently working as a Graphic Designer, creating works of art has always been a way of life for me.

My work is honest, pure and even amateurish at times. Perfect because of the imperfection. I like to paint and draw faces, still lifes, and interior landscapes. I try to capture little moments in a small space of time, forever in an instant. It may be a look in a person's eyes, a facial expression or even the lighting at a specific time. My objective and hope is when I put my work out there for the world to see, that someone will see the world through my eyes: beautiful, honest, forever changing, unpredictable.

As an artist my only wish is that someone will hang my artwork in a place where he can appreciate it every day and fall in love with it, as I did whilst creating it.
