Fanie Scholtz
Christoffel Francois Scholtz was born in
the Karoo town of Beaufort West.
Although he has been drawing and painting from an early age,
he has been painting ably for seventeen years.
His preferred media is oil and acrylic.
Now living in Durbanville, Cape Town, it has inspired him to look at the surrounding Landscape for inspiration.
However a lot of his inspiration for landscapes originates from their farm
bordering the Tankwa Karoo in the Northern Cape.
`I spend a lot of quiet time on our farm constantly looking
for new ways to capture the stretched out landscape of the Karoo.`
Many of Fanie `s paintings are owned by people living in countries like
Germany, Texas USA, Los Angeles USA, Australia and the UK.
He has had numerous successful group exhibitions in Cape Town,
Durbanville and Vredendal.
