Marguerite Sykes

Marguerite is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Marguerite Sykes is a self-taught artist that has been painting since her early years of childhood. Much of what she learnt about art as a child was through the books of Walter Foster. Her only real critic at this young age was her father who encouraged her with a great deal of love to follow her passion. As far back as her high school years she was commissioned to paint for various individuals as well as companies. Her keen eye for detail makes her subjects come alive under every stroke of her paint brush. Margie has never had a chance to exhibit as her fine detail in every painting makes the painting period longer than most and as she has sold paintings individually and been commissioned, she has not been able to build up enough work to exhibit.
