About Erika

Erika is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Worked as an Art-teatcher at Optima school for the blind, it had a huge influance on my work, I tried to explain art and colour to those who couldn't see, through textures. I started to Experiment with texture in my own work to make it interesting to look at and to touch and to provoke a certain feeling through each painting, thus every painting can have its own significant meaning to each individual. Flight, escapism,the concience and Life itself are some of the topics I love to work with.

Exhibitions

2001- 1st one man show at the ART HOUSE GALLERY in Nylstroom.
Various group exhibitions held in Groblersdal,Paternoster and Fouriesburg.
2006- 2nd One man show held in Clarens at "Clarens Interiors". "2007 and 2008 Exhibitions in Germany, and her art has been sold to art-lovers all over the world including Singapore, Germany, Switzerland and Australia.
