About "Tiger"

The striking beauty of the patterns in the tigers hide inspired me to create this very textural piece. Keeping it as abstract as possible, I used textural mediums to build up
certain areas on the face to enhance the folds of skin, and
included whiskers that turn this painting into a slightly sculptural, 3-D piece. My focus in this piece was on the
movement, texture and colour of the tigers hide and and the
exclusion of other facial details is a deliberate omission to capture the essence of the skin.
