About "Tomorrow's Dragonfly"
Natural resources have been depleted, heavy industry has fallen. Dragonflies have adapted to their new environment by breeding and feeding on the decay. Hatchlings are born out of rust. The Dragonfly is laying her eggs adjacent to an old factory building that is still leaking toxic waste, the perspex represents the ignorance mankind displays to his obvious destruction of this planet. It is all spiraling out of control.
Ulrich Riek was born in 1964 in the North West Province, after completing two years of national service he completed the Graphic design diploma at Ruth Prowse School of art in Cape Town.
