Reference Korean photograph About "Waiting for Home" I lived and work in South Korea for six years and the country and it's people are very dear to me. One day I was paging through a Korean fashion magazine and found this image, it evoked the homesick feeling I felt at the time. I had 3 months left before returning home and it was -12 degrees in Korea. I was cold and missing home and decided to draw this photograph in charcoal to keep my mind busy and to forget my longing for home. I do not claim any copyright for the original photograph, this is just my interpretation of it. |
