About "Balloon Smash Yellow and Grey"

I absolutely love embarking on a few liberating abstract artworks between my more realistic paintings.

Acrylic Pour using very liquid paint with a pouring medium to allow the paint to flow freely. I have tried to portray the photograph as close to the colours of the originals as possible. I have used silicone mixed into some of the colours which floats to the top while the paint is very liquid and creates these coloured lacing cells. These can then be manipulated to create artistic patterns.

This artwork is not framed or mounted and is painted on unstretched canvas. It has been coated with varnish at 50% matt and 50% gloss.

Using this technique I am able to create a custom art piece to just about any size that you may require. Colours are quite tricky to replicate exactly but if you send me details or photographs of the area that you have in mind I should be able to create something beautiful for you.

About Nora

I have tried many different art forms over the years including pottery, stained-glass, photography and many others. Since retiring from a career as a school librarian I have been privileged to enjoy experimenting with acrylics and various materials and textures and I am always game to try something new or different. My experimenting techniques have lead to some interesting effects but have included the odd disaster that has literally gone up in flames. I have a great love for all of Gods creation but particularly for Africa, its people and wildlife and have tried to interpret this in my personal expression of artwork.

I am a proud wife, mother of 2 & grandmother with 4 delightful grandchildren. I am a Christian, an artist, a seamstress and pattern designer. My hobbies include photography, golf and tennis.
