About "Brenton Blues"
The Brenton Blue Butterfly is an extremely rare and endangered buutterfly that is only found in the area of Brenton on Sea along the Garden Route in South Africa. It was recently feared that it might have become extinct with the fires that raged through the area in June of 2017. I wanted to capture the essence of this rare butterfly and painted the area it comes from, the flower and tree that it is dependant on for survival. I created a story in a painting. The happy news is that the butterfly has survived and has been seen again in 2018
"I Paint Africa ... I am blessed to live in an area where I am surrounded by ocean, mountains, forests, and all the unique birds and animals that are every artists dream.
